Prof. Anil Kottantharayil, of the Photovoltaics Technology and Innovation Centre (PoTIC) at IITB together with NCPRE organized a half-day industry Workshop on October 27, 2023 during the visit of Dr. Bill Tumas and Dr. Nancy Haegel from NREL. Over 35 participants were present, including representatives from companies such as Adani, Avaada, Vikram Solar, ReNew Power, Ayana Power, JSW Energies, HPCL, Renewsys, Welspun, Reliance Solar, Tata Power Solar, Trinano and PV Diagnostics. Each of the companies presented what they were working on, and IIT Bombay also highlighted its activities and facilities. There were lively discussions on how the Indian companies could benefit from collaborations with NREL and IIT Bombay. The Workshop also gave the NREL visitors a chance to see the depth and breadth of the solar industry in India.
