IntroductionThe 10-day ISTE workshop from 12th - 22nd December 2011 on "Solar Photovoltaics: Fundamentals, Technologies and Applications" will be conducted by Prof. B.G. Fernandes, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Prof. Chetan S. Solanki, Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay. The workshop will be conducted simultaneously at 33 remote centres scattered across the country. The 33 remote centers will each have about 30-40 participants. The training course includes the delivery of live two-way lectures from IIT Bombay (via the internet using specially developed software called 'AVIEW'), locally organized tutorial and laboratory sessions. Interested teachers may register for the course as soon as possible. The enrollment for the course will start from 15th July, 2011.
