The Technical Committee (TC) 82’s Working Group (WG2) of the IEC is the premier body that formulates standards for PV modules such as IEC 61215. This group conducts an invite-only meeting two times a year in various parts of the world. Prof. Narendra Shiradkar from NCPRE was invited to participate in the IEC TC82/WG2 meeting in Sydney, Australia from Oct 30 - Nov 4, 2023. He gave talks on the work performed at NCPRE on the Reliability of Bypass Diodes and Anti-Soiling coatings. He was the only Indian citizen in this meeting and he also gave feedback from Indian deployment and manufacturing perspectives on the IEC standards that are under revision.
